Conference AJK/Pakistan has welcomed the suggestion of the Amnesty
International to the Indian Government to review & repeal the Armed Forces
Special Power’s Act(AFSPA), which is in vogue in J&K since 1990 and is
against the norm’s of the International legal system. He said that after the
promulgation of the AFSPA in Kashmir, Indian occupation forces had been
carrying on a campaign of ruthless killings including extra judicial also,
to curb the movement of freedom. He said the withdrawal of the disputed law
and various other draconian laws would certainly be a way forward towards
peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue. He also condemned recent Bandipore
killings by Indian army and attack on human rights activists Pervez Imroz . |
