APHC delegation meets Defence Attaches
Muzaffarabad, April 23|05 (KMS): A delegation of AJK Chapter of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, led by its Convenor Muhammad Farooq Rehmani held a meeting with the Defence Attachés of 26 different countries at Khursheed Memorial Library Muzaffarabad.
The APHC delegation, including its members Advocate Perevz Ahmed, Ishtiyaq Hameed and Yaqub Sheikh, briefed the visitors about the ground situation in occupied Kashmir.
The Convenor APHC presenting the overall scenario from various dimensions noted that Kashmir dispute has a great potential to disturb peace in the region. "For the past few years, Kashmiri political struggle has become a major point of focus for the international community and it has gained considerable importance," Rehmani noted.
Equating Kashmir with peace and harmony, APHC delegation impressed upon the fact that Kashmiris have always maintained peace and harmony even during 1947 when there was naked dance of death and fire in South Asia.
They also highlighted that the Indian Government patronises repression, which finally leads to disturbances and human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.
"Kashmir issue is a special case with its own unique history and quite differed to other special cases such as the Sikhs or Assam or the peoples of the Dravidian South," APHC delegation noted.
