British diplomats visit APHC office
Islamabad, April 20|05 (KMS): Representatives of the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Eric Taylor and Alexander Evans visited office of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) AJK-chapter, in Islamabad and held a meeting on the latest situation in Indian occupied Kashmir today.
The APHC team led by its Convenor Muhammad Farooq Rehmani included Advocate Pervez Ahmad and Majeed Malik. The two sides had an exchange of views on the ground situation in occupied Kashmir and the latest Musharraf-Manmohan joint statement.
The APHC members told the visitors that the India-Pakistan peace process could bear fruit only if human rights specific confidence building measures are implemented in the occupied territory. "India and Pakistan must speed up their efforts towards the resolution of the Kashmir dispute as per the wishes and aspirations of the Kashmiri people." 
The British diplomats highlighted the perception of the international community vis-à-vis Kashmir issue saying that it was time that all the parties representing the wishes of the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir be involved in the peace process.
The meeting, which lasted for more than an hour highlighted that the British government was taking keen interest in the resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir issue in order to ensure peace and stability in South Asia.
