Srinagar, February 02  – According to a survey by UNICEF, about one lakh (100,000) children are estimated to have been rendered as orphans in Jammu and Kashmir during the past two decades.

Srinagar, January 28 :In occupied Kashmir, 19,060 persons have been arrested by occupation authorities under the draconian Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Act (TADA) in 17 years from 1990-2007.

Jammu, October 17 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association has appealed to the international human rights organisations to send their representatives to the occupied territory to take cognisance of the plight of the Kashmiris, languishing in different jails. We Don’t Expect Justice From Govt: Residents

Islamabad, October 01: In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops, in their continued acts of state terrorism, martyred 48 innocent people including a child and a woman in the last month of September.

Srinagar, Sept 28: Seeking the intervention of international human rights organizations for stopping the state government from converting torture centres into official residences of politicians, the Association of Parents of Disappeared Persons Monday demanded conversion of these centers into memory museums.

Amnesty International today condemned the unlawful killing by unidentified gunmen of 24 civilians in Nadimarg village in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The dead included 11 women and two children and were all members of the Kashmiri Pandit community.
