In Kashmir, 100,000 Children Orphaned in 20 Years

Srinagar, February 02  – According to a survey by UNICEF, about one lakh (100,000) children are estimated to have been rendered as orphans in Jammu and Kashmir during the past two decades.

19,060 persons arrested under TADA in 17 years in Kashmir

Srinagar, January 28 :In occupied Kashmir, 19,060 persons have been arrested by occupation authorities under the draconian Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Act (TADA) in 17 years from 1990-2007.

HR bodies urged to take notice of detainees’ plight in IHK

Jammu, October 17 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, the High Court Bar Association has appealed to the international human rights organisations to send their representatives to the occupied territory to take cognisance of the plight of the Kashmiris, languishing in different jails. The Bar President, Mian Abdul Qayoom, while leading a team of the Bar, visited Kathua and Kot Bhalwal jails.
