HISTORY’S BIGGEST PEACE PROTESTS AGAINST WAR HAILED BY PL CHIEF! Farooq Rehmani

| Muzaffarabad/Islamabad 17 Feb 2003: Muhammad Farooq Rehmani Chairman J&K People’s league has said that the 15 February would go down as the biggest day of mankind against war and war-mongers and would bring shame and defeat to all the faces and forces of expansionism, aggression, occupation and neo-colonialism. In a statement issued here he said that Asia, especially Muslim peoples around the world should salute the non Muslim Europeans who simultaneously and spontaneously jammed streets, tunnels and tubes across the world on Saturday to oppose US plans of invasion on Iraq. He said the rallies making a sea of humanity irrespective of the differences of cast, creed and nationality, firing up in cities across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa and America would radically shake and tremble down old world culture of imperialism and show a new path of equity and justice to united Nations. He said that the unprecedented global protests on 15 Feb. against the war plans proved that all non-Muslims in the world were not anti Muslim, and if approached properly they could support humanitarian cause of Muslim resistance movements in regions such as Kashmir, Palestine, etc. He said that this global pacifist protest of Europe, America in favour of Asia and Asian problems should open our own eyes and the Muslim clergy and politicians should benefit from this miraculous peace march and reshape their policies and approaches vis-à-vis muslim political problems to gain massive mankind support to resolve the Kashmir, Palestine and other issues. He said that the last 50 years had proved that Muslims could not break shackles of their brethren in Palestine or Kashmir, by trusting on imperialist governments nor the blood of so many thousand Kashmiris moved powerful states of the world. Therefore, by learning from the historical event of 15 Feb, we should directly approach to the sea of humanity in the civilized world against Indian and Zionist repression and occupation and never rely on other narrow angles and rhetoric. He said that the time was running out and generations after generations of Kashmiris & Palestinians were being eliminated by India-Israel duo of evil, while others were simply spectators. We must act swiftly for world wide mass support, keeping in mind that the Ummah had done little to come to the rescue of brothers.
