Nazir Ahmed Shah
S/O Ghulam Ahmad Shah R/O Kaloosa Bandipur known as Aziz -ur-Rehman. Date of
Birth 1958. Qualification B.A. A born revolutionary started his political
career as a member of J&K Peoples League (as a student) in 1979 under the
leadership of Mohammad Farooq Rehmani challenged Sheikh Abdullah in 1975 in
Public gathering was arrested by police on spot. Played active role in JKPL Anti
liquor movement of 1980s faced interrogations in various centers received armed
training in 1998 in AJK & was arrested after returning to valley in the same
year & released in 1992. He became chief commander of Ex-Jehad Force (Under J&KPL)
after martyrdom of Jamal Afghan in 1993. B.S.F martyred him in a fierce
encounter in Bemina Srinagar on 17th June, 1994. Mujahid Zahoor Ahmed Gada was
also martyred with him. His death paralyzed life throughout valley for three days & he was laid to rest amongst thousands of mourners in Kaloosa Bandipora. He too was a top Kashmir commander & senior leader of J&KPL in IHK Ghaibana was offered to the departed soul in Muzaffarabad also. |
